TGS FALL BALL PROGRAMS
Beginning in 2009, TGS is proud to offer two different programs for our members to participate in:
WINTER BALL
For those players that are looking to play softball in an non-competitive environment, hone their skills for the upcoming spring rec season, or are looking to better their skills as they move into a new division, TGS is proud to offer WINTER BALL!
Winter Ball is a non-competitive, non-ASA sanctioned softball league that will run for approximately 10 weeks beginning in September for girls that will be playing 8U, 10U, and 12U ball in the spring. Each team will play a scheduled game for fun against another Orange County team on Sundays only. There will be no tournaments. Each year, a different league hosts the Winter Ball season. For the 2009 Winter Ball season, all games will be played in Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo, or Rancho Trabuco. There is no limit as to how many girls may play in a higher age division than their current ASA age level.
The cost for the 2009 Winter Ball season will be between $75.00 - $100.00 for the season. This fee will include the uniform (jersey, visor and possibly shorts), league entrance fee, and field maintenance costs. There are no tournaments in this league and scores are not recorded.

ORANGE COUNTY FALL BALL
Fall Ball is considered to be an extension of the All-Star softball season. TGS would like to have 1-2 teams per age division (8U, 10U, 12U) join the non-ASA sanctioned Fall Ball Federation league. This league is a competitive softball league that plays from September - November. Each team will play a series of doubleheader "friendlies" which are games against other teams throughout Orange County on Saturday or Sunday. There are also 2-3 tournaments depending on the age level in September, October, and November. These tournaments typically consist of 2 pool play games and then move to a single elimination format over the course of a weekend.
For the 2010 Fall Ball Season, TGS will be looking for either former TGS All-Stars or All-Star caliber players and coaches to fill these teams. We will be hosting a tryout in the early part of July 2010. Practices can begin as of August 1st.
The cost for the 2009 Fall Ball season will be $225.00. This fee includes the costs associated with uniforms (jersey and visor; players to provide their own shorts or pants per their coach's decision and socks), umpire fees, field maintenence fees, as well as tournament entry fees.
Tustin Girls Softball typically hosts the end of season 10U Turkey Tournament in late November at CT Fields. We would need the parents of these 10U players to assist in manning the Snack Bar during the tournament. You will be able to earn future volunteer points towards the 2010 Spring Recreational season!
